The FLC is an extreme duty slurry control valve, specifically developed for use in flash tank level control applications in the alumina refining industry.

The FLC valve has been designed and built specifically for the extremes of flash tank control. Engineered to provide true reliability at extreme temperatures with caustic slurries and low cycling.

  • Heavy duty body wall thickness exceeds ASME B16.34
  • Full repairability with replaceable internals that significantly extend valve life

  • Chrome iron internals (optional tungsten carbide coating)
  • Swing through disc for minimal leakage at elevated temperatures
  • Wing-style disc for optimum flow and wear resistance
  • Venturi liner for improved flow control and thicker liner for longer life
  • Live loaded disc end spacer packing to prevent the ingress of media into the bearing journals
  • Improved end cap seal utilizing either a spiral wound gasket or secondary O-ring
  • SSEC (Synergistic Surface Enhancement Coating) or nitrided stainless steel bearings
  • Available with automatic grease lubrication to prevent shaft seizure inside the bearing journals
  • High temperature packing, O-rings and bearings allowing for operating temperatures up to 320°C
  • Standardized mounting and drive adaptor connection allowing direct mounting of Keystone actuators and also allows for actuator removal while valve in-line
  • Documentation to EN 10204 Type 3.1
